Dear Members and Friends,
It is with deep gratitude and a profound sense of purpose that I address you as President of the Jewish Bar Association of Broward County. Our organization is both a product of proud tradition and a beacon for future progress, rooted in the legacy of the B’nai B’rith Justice Unit, which provided a strong foundation for Jewish legal professionals in our community.
As we grow and evolve, we do so in continuity with that past—honoring the path forged by the B’nai B’rith Justice Unit while building a broader platform to serve the Jewish legal community with renewed energy and vision. Their commitment to justice, service, and fellowship remains a guiding force for us today.
A core part of our mission is to shine a light on the Jewish legal leaders who have contributed so meaningfully to the profession, our organization, and the greater Broward County community. Their achievements and dedication continue to inspire and elevate us. We are committed to recognizing their legacy—not only in celebration, but as an essential part of our progress and purpose.
Grounded in our Jewish values of tzedek (justice), talmud Torah (the pursuit of knowledge), and kehillah (community), we strive to offer meaningful educational programs, mentorship opportunities, and service initiatives that reflect the richness of our heritage and the relevance of our voice in today’s legal landscape.
We move forward with optimism, believing in the strength of our collective efforts and in the promise of what lies ahead. Our future is bright because of the integrity, talent, and passion of our members—and because we carry with us the lessons, leadership, and light of those who came before.
Thank you for your ongoing support and engagement. I look forward to the work we will do together to uplift, connect, and advance our community.
Brachot v’shalom,
Yael
